I am a state secondary school teacher with 15 years experience in several schools around south London. Additionally, I have been building my tutoring experience for the last seven years, growing in number every year. I have worked with students who have a large range of abilities and across the board, independent of level, been able to significantly enhance their educational outcomes in science at both GCSE and A-Level.

For many different reasons secondary schools often struggle to find engaging, experienced and dedicated science teachers who have the depth of knowledge required to bring science to life, making it meaningful to students. They often can’t create a focused learning environment that students require for effective learning and deeper understanding.

We know science changes that.

The vast majority of my tutees have not been fulfilling their potential at school and require an intervention to unlock that untapped promise enabling them to engage with school science and achieve the grades that better reflect their ability.

Good teaching is not only about communicating the required knowledge but also to respond to individual needs and present the material in an accessible and individual way.

My approach is different for each student or group that I teach reflecting their needs, strengths and
interests.
